_RamSoil_ <blocked::http://eusoils.jrc.it/projects/Ramsoil/>: Risk 
Assessment Methodologies for SOIL threats. Numerous methodologies are 
used in the EU Member States to assess the risk for different soil 
threats related to various agricultural practices to occur (compaction, 
erosion, landslides, organic matter decline and salinization). Find 
information about the RAMSOIL Database and the Work Packages.
 
_Guidelines for the use of native mosses, transplanted mosses and soils 
in assessing organic and inorganic contaminant fallout _

_National Focal Points _

: National Focal Points (NFPs) ) are group of experts in national 
environmental organisations nominated and funded by the country and 
authorised to be the main contact point for the EEA. The NFP coordinates 
the national network in order to support the implementation of the EEA 
work programme.
 
_Global Datasets_ 
<blocked::http://eusoils.jrc.it/ESDB_Archive/soil_data/global.htm>: This 
section provides links to websites from where soil related datasets at 
Global Scale could potentially be accessed and/or downloaded. Global 
Soil datasets are available in US ORNL Distributed Active Archive Center 
, ISRIC and FAO.
The soil team of DG Environment is organising a *conference on soil and 
climate change* that will take place at the Borschette Centre in 
Brussels on 12th June. The conference is a public event (the room can 
accommodate up to 250 people) and we would welcome the participation not 
only of Brussels-based lobbyists but also of interested people from 
Member States - national officials, researchers, farmers, landowners, 
NGOs etc.  A description of the aim of the conference, the draft 
programme, information on how to register etc are available at:
